Welcome to Nelson Primary School PTA Parking Guide

All it takes is 1 x 1hr 15mins session to make a massive difference to our school! 

For over 30 years, Nelson Primary School has opened its playground for parking during major events at Twickenham Stadium, providing a safe and friendly place for rugby supporters and music fans from all over the world. ​

These events are a significant source of fundraising for our school, with all proceeds directly benefiting our students. Funds raised have contributed to playground improvements, books, school workshops, coach transport, the school library, new equipment, and much more.

Volunteer with Us

Our car park events are entirely volunteer-run, and we rely on the support of our school community to ensure their success.​

Volunteer Roles:

  • Meet and Greet: Provide a warm welcome to our guests and check them in using our simple app.

  • Parking Marshals: Direct cars into parking spaces and assist with the smooth flow of traffic.​

Why Volunteer?

  • Each shift is just 1 hour and 15 minutes or less.

  • No prior experience needed—full training provided on the day (it only takes 5 minutes!).

  • You’ll be paired with another volunteer—no one works alone.

  • Enjoy free tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits to keep you warm and energized.

  • As a token of our appreciation, volunteers receive a discount at Raymonds Café.
