Car Boot Sale – Rules of Entry

  • You must park where directed.
  • No priority or preferential parking.
  • We are an outdoor sale and operate rain or shine! There are no covered areas to shelter from the weather.
  • No selling food, alcohol, cigarettes, pornography or counterfeit audio/visual goods (including games and software), any form of weapon real or replica, kitchen knives, displaying goods that cause offence or incite racial, sexual or religious hatred and Nazi memorabilia will be asked to leave, and may be reported to the police
  • No car radios or audio systems to be played.
  • No Smoking and No dogs on site, in compliance with the law . (Assistance dogs are allowed, their official certificate must be presented )
  • Gazebos that do not extend beyond pitch boundaries are allowed. However, should stewards decide that a gazebo is too big you may be asked to take it down, or a charge may be payable. On busy days, we reserve the right to refuse gazebos.
  • You will not be allowed to leave before 12:00.
  • You must start packing up at 11:30am, and vacate the site by 12:30. Late leavers will have their registration number noted and may be banned from future sales.
  • You must take all your rubbish and any unsold objects away with you. Any sellers found leaving items or rubbish will have their registration number noted and may be banned from future sales.
  • Please report any broken glass or other hazardous debris to one of the organisers, who will arrange safe disposal of the item.
  • We do not accept £50 notes. Sadly, there has been an increase in fake notes being circulated and we advise ALL visitors to the sale to adopt this policy as well.
  • Anyone found in breach of these rules will be asked to leave the site, banned and without receiving any refund.
  • Warning WE WILL NOT TOLERATE VERBAL OR PHYSICAL ABUSE TOWARDS OUR VOLUNTEER STEWARDS WE WILL REFUSE TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE WHO ASSAULT OUR STEWARDS OR WHO CONTINUE TO BE ABUSIVE OR AGGRESSIVE WHEN ASKED TO BEHAVE REASONABLY, AND THE POLICE WILL BE CALLED IMMEDIATELY.
  • The Car Boot Sale is organised by The Nelson Primary School Parent Teacher Association, is a registered charity, and is staffed by parent volunteers. Neither the PTA nor anybody acting on its behalf accepts any liability for loss or damage to any property (including but not limited to any vehicles or their contents) during the Car Boot Sale. By entering the Car Boot Sale you confirm your agreement to this and the terms and conditions above.
